Subject: Congrats, George

     I'm just thrilled that a member of the DC Shogi Club, George
     Fernandez, has been chosen to represent the US in the upcoming amateur
     tournament in Japan. For those of you who may not know him, George has
     worked dilligently at shogi the last few years, improving by two ranks
     to 4-Dan. Meanwhile, he has also been the major force in promoting and
     organizing shogi in this part of the country. I couldn't think of a
     more deserving recipient of this award. (Since you've recently
     subscribed to shogi-l, you may now blush for us all, George ;-)
