From: Reijer Grimbergen ETL GO JP> Date: 25 jul 1996 Subject: This week in Shukan Shogi (no.645, July 24th 1996) Busy, busy, busy. I have had no time to read Shukan Shogi yet, and I do not think I will have time before tomorrow evening, but here are the most important results of the professional games last week (without any further comments): Kisei: Miura won the fourth game to equal the match at 2-2. Decisive 5th game: July 30th! Oza: Shima beat Takahashi to reach the challenger final. Other semifinal between Tanigawa and Mori is played tomorrow. Ryu-O: Moriuchi beat Minami to get to the semifinals. Iizuka beat Maruyama and will meet Tanigawa next for a place in the semis. Inoue beat Urano and will now play Takahashi for a semi-final position. A-Junisen: Morishita beat Murayama. Both now are at 1-1. C1-Junisen: After the second round Nakagawa, Kubo, Abe, Kansaki, Ito, Murooka and H.Nakata have two wins. Yashiki lost to Kubo and is 1-1. Miura lost again and is 0-2 and seems out of the race. Hope to have more time next week, Reijer -- Reijer Grimbergen Electrotechnical Laboratory Palcious Tsukuba 302 1-1-4 Umezono 1-24-8 Ninomiya Tsukuba-shi, Ibaraki-ken Tsukuba-shi, Ibaraki-ken 305 JAPAN 305 JAPAN E-mail: grimberg etl go jp Tel: 0298-59-1606 WWW: http://www.etl.go.jp:8080/etl/suiron/~grimberg Tel: +81-(0)298-54-5080 extension: 67431 Fax: +81-(0)298-58-5918
