I never had a problem finding an oponent and I enjoyd myself. First I played somebody who was about as strong as me, then I played a beginner. (or maybe my oponent was drunk :-)) and the third time I played a very strong oponent. This leads me to the following question : is there a way to install different Java-shogi servers for different strength classes ? Or maybe it can be done by assigning an oponent who's strength is as close to yours as possible ? > >Cheers, > >Matt Casters >Kenny's shogi proverb : 'Allways attack to the right' > > At Waseda's Java Shogi, you are automatically matched with the next person which can lead to some real mismatches. I like NTT's Java shogi because you can choose your opponent and observe other games. Still, you can only choose from who is there, so mismatches are almost as likely at least until more people start showing up. I think it would be better if Handicaps could be given. NTT's Java is the same server as the telnet one, you can reach it either way.
