As far as having them separate, I still believe its a good idea. One or the other may become idle, true, but I don't believe that it will be that bad. I am currently subscribed to rec.games.chinese-chess and I highly doubt that EITHER the mailing list or the newsgroup will generate as few posts per day as that particular newsgroup. The mere existence of that newsgroup from the very beginning had me asking "WHY is there no rec.games.shogi?" > started. That's why I think everyone on this list should vote YES on > the related newsgroup rec.sport.sumo. Sumo is a popular Japanese > sport.
