I was afraid being not able to respond timely as I have been to Tokyo
to settle a lot of Shogi matters:

1. I visited Mr. KATO Jiro. There we have finally checked out his
   "Preface to English version" of the "Everything begins with the
    Foo".  I got a recommendation letter by AONO Teruichi which KATO
    has asked him to write. I borrowed one of the Foo piece from KATO
    san's precious collection for the use of front cover design.
   I am so happy to see that he is still young and keeping a good brain
   condition though he is 85 years old now ! Yes, he is a treasure of
   the Shogi world.

2. I have met Mr. WAKASHIMA Tadashi and talked on the plan of editing
   and publicating the English anthology of "Tsume Shogi Paradise".
   WAKASHIMA san said he himself could edit it. I have confirmed it
   with Tsume-Para in Osaka after having returned to home.

3. I have visited and met some important persons to proceed on our
   International Shogi Association plan.

4. Mr. YUKAWA of "Shogi Pen Club" has asked me to write an article in
   their bulletin on the publication of Shogi books in English and
 other activities.
