Subject: DOS/Win GnuShogi in the works?

Is anyone working on a port of GnuShogi to DOS or Windows (of any flavor)?
Has this been attempted in whole or in part in the past? Do we all hate
DOS/Windows so much that even the thought is repugnant?
I notice lots of conditional compilation based on preprocessor variables
with names like _MSDOS_ and the like in the GnuShogi source, but since
there is no "official" version for that platform, I must assume that they
are artifacts of GnuChess? Yes? No? Whaddaya know?
