Dear shogi fans,

I can confirm the dates previously posted by Pieter Stouten:

The 12th European Shogi Championship will take place in Brussels on Friday 23 through Sunday 25 August 1996, for the Dan group, and on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 for the Kyu group.

The location will be the same as last year: the RIKAB in Ganshoren. An access plan will be made available during the next months.

Through Reijer Grimberger we received the (non-official) news that RICOH will be sponsoring the tournament. This allows us to make participation free for all players, including food and boarding. Details will follow.
