From: Martin Danerud EMW ERICSSON SE> Date: 8 feb 1996 Subject: Stay patiently at ISS! Dear shogi friends, I often login at ISS (Internet Shogi Server), and now it is much easier to find an opponent than before. Just stay patiently at ISS when you have logged in! If you are prepared to spend some hours for a game, then you should of course be prepared to spend some minutes waiting for an opponent! While you are waiting you can for instance check which were the last persons to login. Then you just type the command "last", and you will get an idea of the login frequency at present. We must build bridges between the occasional login islands! Then we will continously have games being played at ISS. And if there are games being played already when you login, you can observe them while you are waiting for an opponent. So, again: If you do not find an opponent immediately, just stay patiently at ISS! Sincerely yours, Dr Martin Danerud
