I just saw in Shukan Shogi No. 666 from the 18.December 1996 on page 7 the
following announcement by Nihon Shogi Renmei:
The in the last years unavailable and out of print two bilingual Shogi books
(Japanese/English)
by Aono Teruichi/translated by John Fairbairn  ( "shogi joseki no kagi" = Guide
to shogi openings
 and "koko o naoseba tsuyoku naru" = Better moves for better shogi)  will be
reprinted by
 Nihon Shogi Renmei. The books can only be bought via the Nihon Shogi Renmei and
will
not be on sale in normal bookshops.
