This discussion is gettting more and more interesting, especially since it
is "against the rules" - I mean trying to assign general values.

I just wanted to stress one point: Material values in chess turned out to be
a unproductive method of approach -- imagine how less productive a path it
must be in shogi.

Of course, you have bigger problems, like trying to set values for more
abstract concepts...
