From: Reijer Grimbergen NICI KUN NL> Date: 15 sep 1995 Subject: Result 1st game Oza match Last week, Habu started his defence of the Oza title against 49-year old veteran Mori Keiji. Ten years ago Mori was one of the top players and won the Kisei and Oi title, but it was a big surprise that he became this year's challenger of Habu. Mori has developed into the leading specialist in the Hineribisha and it was no surprise that this opening was played after Mori was given black by furigoma. Mori got a clear advantage in the opening but somehow both players got dragged into an amazingly fast game. Mori made a couple of mistakes and Habu cashed in, as he usually does. Time for both players was 5 hours, but Mori only used 2 hours and 13 minutes for this game. He will probably feel sorry about not analysing deeper at crucial moments. Especially his "kishu" N'1f, which was played in no time and was the final mistake. Game two has already been played, and I hope Matsubara-san can send us the result. Reijer Grimbergen
