I did not really set out to compose a problem; I found the combination while analyzing a possibility in an e-mail game and tried to simplify the setting. I thought it was attractive, but I see that someone had a similar idea. I did not know about this problem and it took me 30 minutes to solve it! I note, however, that as in my problem, for the last move there are 2 ways to mate. I'll have to find out more about the book you recommended.
