Shogi Deutschland organises the event in and with the assistance of the beautiful historic little town of Weilburg (some 50km west of Giessen, north of Frankfurt, in the very centre of Germany) which celebrates its 1000-year-anniversary. We are very happy to be able to announce that the 5-dan-pro Honma Hiroshi, due to support by the Nihon Shogi Renmei and the Japan Foundation, will attend the tournament. The tournament will start on saturday 21, 10h sharp. Registration deadline is 9.30h sharp. Tournament fee 20 DM for non-members of Shogi Deutschland. There will be played 4 round on Saturday, 2 on Sunday to allow finishing the tournament by ca. 15.30h latest. Accomodation is available at 40 DM per night (incl. breakfast). if you intend to come please register as soon as possible as space is limited (although we will do our best to accomodate everyone ...). If we have to rent additionl rooms it might be necessary to increase the bednight price a little to allow for equal charges for all.
