what exactly is a knockout event? is that tournaments that you have to win all
the games to win the tournament?
I was thinking in use the MacMahon system with interleaved rounds, like the
panvest Go tournament on IGS, but this can be discussed...

How we probably have the most participants on US and Europe I would sugest to
make the tournament on weekends and in the late evening in Europe, or at a time
and date agreed by the players (between some limit dates to be defined to each
round). That last is what I think to be the better way, and tha exact time of
the game could be informed here (in a table, not sparsely) and on ISS,
whenever possible.
