Subject: DC - NY Shogi Weekend

          Advance Notice - DC, New York shogi weekend

          The annual meeting between the Washington, DC and New York
          shogi clubs will take place in New York City on February
          11th and 12th this year. This weekend has become one of
          the major shogi events in North America in recent years.
          There will be shogi tournaments on each day,
          the annual DC vs. New York match, and a dinner and
          celebration at a restaurant on Saturday night.  The exact
          location and time of the events are not settled at this
          time, but will be posted on Shogi-l as soon as they are
          known.  Anyone planning to be in the New York area during
          that weekend is welcome to participate or spectate!
