A special feature of 'xshogi' is serving as a client for Shogi on IGS with full graphical support. Just invoke 'xshogi -iss True' to connect to IGS and to use the graphical display for observing or playing shogi games. In the installation instructions there is a file 'README.iss_client' which explains the client usage. You can obtain the latest released version from the usual GNU ftp sites. The most recent version of 'xshogi' and 'gnushogi' can be obtained from our anonymous ftp server. Connect to 'ftp.fmi.uni-passau.de' and login as user 'anonymous'. Change directory to pub/local/shogi and get the desired files. In case of questions, you may contact me. Matthias Mutz mutz fmi uni-passau de
