          --- Washington wins again! ---

          The Washington, DC Shogi Club defeated the New York Shogi
          Club in their annual match this past weekend by an 11-3
          score. The match marked the fifth consecutive win by
          the Washington team in this series.
          In other events, The Eastern Meijin tournament was won by
          Nakazawa Keiji, 5-dan amateur of the New York Club with a
          perfect 5-0 score. 4-dans Koyama and Sango of the Washington
          Club took 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
          The Eastern Handicap (koma ochi) tournament was won by 5-dan
          Watanabe Masanori of New York, followed by 4-dan Sango of
          Washington and 3-dan Asakura of New York.
          These events took place on February 11th and 12th in
          Manhattan.
