I thought Thomas found a phrase of <ikkyoku no shogi> in a shogi book.
When I read "This situation is <ikkoku no shogi>." in a comment of a
Joseki, I understand the author implies "Situation is ballanced in this
position." , not only saying "quite a different kind of game".

If the situation is unballanced I don't use <ikkyoku no shogi>.

I am a native Japanese, but I need to ask other natives if my translation
is correct.
