The strong, dan-class, programs for IBM machines are not available now, as far as I know. But for Japanese machines we have "Kiwame II" and "Hayazashi Morita Shogi". Fortunately, "Kiwame II" (means 'The ultimate of second version') will be adapted to IBM machines and come on market in this August. It is the strongest as it has beated every other programs in the competetion of last year. Its strength is regarded as 2-dan! "Hayazashi Morita Shogi" ( means 'quick playing Morita's Shogi' ) for Nintendo (a video game machine for TV sets) is available now, and is also regarded as 2-dan. But it cannot be used with European Nintendo machine, because scanning system of TV screen is different from that in Japan. Only with Japanese (or USA) TV set and Japanese Nintendo machine, we can use it. (No way!) Moreover we must plug the Nintendo into correct 100V supply, or it becomes weaker because of mulfunctioning of LSI's in the Nintendo. Anyway, we are looking forward to "Kiwame II" in August. Hiroki.
