Actually, it's Habu. Habu and Tanigawa had both seven wins and two
losses in the Meijin league. Habu beat Tanigawa in a bishop exchange
opening and has become challenger. The first game of the Meijin
title match will be played on 11 and 12 April.

Other news: the first game of the 1994 Ryu O Title match will be
held in Paris (France, NOT Texas) and not in the USA as rumour
originally had it. That's a bummer.

6-dan professional Mr. Oshima will be coming to USA on an official
Shogi teaching tour. He will be here for 10 days starting April 20.
He will be staying in New York and DC.
