Subject: Welcome to Washington!

          The DC Shogi Club is pleased to welcome players from the
          Chicago Shogi Club to our Summer Handicap Tournament this
          Saturday, August 6th.  We are also expecting our club
          founder Larry Kaufman, who is visiting from Florida, to
          play in the tournament.
          The tournament will be held at our regular Thursday night
          club meeting site, the Cherrydale United Methodist Church in
          Arlington, Virginia.  Play will begin around noon.  Anyone
          who is in the region is welcome to participate or spectate.
