Subject: 4-Player Shogi?!

This month's Kindai Shogi has an article on
a recent demonstration game of 4-player Shogi.
The photo showed quite a few Shogi heavyweights
in attendance, so I guess this development
is to be taken seriously.

A brief summary of the rules is included on
the next-to last page. Could anybody out there post
an English translation to the list?

On another topic, I notice that the title
"former Meijin" is being used. Isn't this
title a little embarassing?  Since an earned
title would take precedence, wouldn't a title
like "former Meijin" say "since losing the Meijin
title, he hasn't been doing too well".  ?
