The current version of GNU XShogi, available by anonymous FTP at the
usual GNU FTP sites, can act as a client for the ISS. Just invoke
  xshogi -iss True
and XShogi tries to connect to the ISS server (same as IGS). Moves and
displays can be done using the usual graphical interface. All messages
and inputs not interfaced by the graphics are written to or read from
a normal textual window.
