Subject: posting confirmation and Tsume questions

Having posted a few questions, etc., to the shogi list, and having
never seen a reply, I was wondering if there is a command line that
can be sent to the listserver that gives the sender confirmation of
receiving the post.  If so, could someone tell me what it is?
 
Also, I have a question concerning the Tsume.  How does it work?
What does one do with them?  I haven't a clue, and haven't seen an
explanation anywhere.  I've just been putting the named pieces on
the board and playing out the rest of the game--playing both black
and white positions.  This is useful, but I would really like to
know what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing with them!

This isn't a very active list, is it?  Damn.  I'm really beginning
to enjoy shogi and would like to read more from experienced players.
