Subject: Opennings for Beginner?

Hi.  I'm just beginning my study of Shogi, and I was wondering if anyone
out there could suggest a book, or perhaps even offer personal advice on
shogi openning theory.  I don't want anything too technical right now;
just something to make sure I don't blow the game in the first few moves
and to set up a decent middle-game.  Thanks in advance,
