Subject: SHOGI-L archives updated

Two files in the SHOGI-L archives have recently been updated and one new file
has been added.
 
TSUME FAQ (updated)
   Contains a description of Tsume Shogi, Tsume Shogi rules, and a collection
   of Tsume problems. Roger Hare <rjhare <at> festival <dot> edinburgh <dot> ac <dot> uk> who compiles
   the tsume faq file says: "Here is my second 'compilation' of Reijers weekly
   tsume posting. [...] I can't speak for anyone else, but I think these weekly
   posts are wonderful (though difficult for a novice without much spare
   time!). I hope Reijer keeps 'em coming for a long time yet..."
 
LADDER STANDING (updated)
   Contains the present ladder rankings and ongoing games (as of 13 Apr 1993).
   In order to be added to the ladder, please contact Adam Chalcraft, ladder
   coordinator <dac11 <at> PHOENIX <dot> CAMBRIDGE <dot> ac <dot> uk>.
 
SHOGI SOFTWARE (new)
   Contains information about Shogi software that can be used on standard
   "western" computers (i.e., without specific Japanese hardware, add-ons or
   operating systems. At present this file contains information about the
   combo GNU Shogi/XShogi only. GNU Shogi is a Shogi playing program, while
   XShogi serves as a XWindows front end for GNU Shogi.
