Subject: Shogi 'notation' software

        In the chess world, there is a program called _notation_ by Henry
Thomas (Henry.Thomas <at> irisa <dot> fr or hthomas <at> irisa <dot> fr) that accepts the transcript
of a game ( in several variations ) and allows one to specify when to print
out a board update ( again, allowing for several variations.) Is there
anything comparable available for shogi? I have started a half hearted attempt
to convert _notation_ to shogi, and if I'm successful I'll make the source
available to anyone interested. ( That is, if there isn't already a similar
program out there, which would spare me the bother :)
