Incidentally, I received a letter from Victor Contoski of Lawrence, Kansas, who wrote: "Shogi in the US has not had any central organization for the past several years, but now the DC Shogi Club will be taking over the publication of 'Shogi World' and serve as a central contact for shogi activity in the USA." So they are the ones to contact now ! Alternatives for buying material are: Ishi Press International, 76 Bonaventura Drive, San Jose, CA 95134, USA; Tel. +1-408-944-9900, Fax +1-408-944-9110. First, I will be changing jobs and be very busy with work initially. Second, there is only so much that a single person can do and when I go to the states it will definitely NOT change the Shogi situation dramatically. Besides, there are still too few active Shogi players in the USA (or Europe for that matter) to get things really going and I have no real concrete ideas as to how to change that. I keep trying, though ! Cheers, Pieter.
