Subject: Shogi ladder

Hi, everyone.
        Just to keep you informed about the current state of the Shogi ladder.
Quite a lot of shuffling of positions has happened recently near the bottom,
and there is promise of more to come, because there are some new good players
who have only just joined, and who will doubtless be fighting their way up the
rankings in the near future.
        Ken Aizawa has unfortunately had to drop out.
        Marc Theeuwen is handling mail messages for Frans Roquas, who does not
have access to email. Send any mail for Frans to Marc, with a clear indication
that it is to be passed on.
        As before, * means that player has refused a challenge by lack of
response. If the number of *'s gets to five, then that player is removed from
the Shogi list. Can you hear me, Brandon and Sydney?
        Also as before, W:3 next to a name means that that player is playing in
game number 3 with the white pieces. Someone somewhere else in the list will
have B:3, and that is the opponent.
 
        If you know of any mistakes on the ladder, please let me know as soon
as possible. Thanks.
 
        General request to people on the ladder whose name ends in ".bitnet":
Do you have an alternative form of address which I might be able to use from
the UK in case bitnet decides to get nasty over funding and ban incoming mail
from abroad? If so, could you let me know (my address is at number 13 below).
