Subject: Shogi Master etc.

Forgive me for asking what apparently everyone knows, but could some
one please fill me in on the IBM PC "Shogi master" program.  (Who is
the publisher, where can I buy it, is it of commercial quality, etc.?)
 
Also, I have about half the issues of Shogi magazine, published by
G.F. Hodges.  Has anything comparable in English taken its place?  For
example, where would I find out about all the Shogi computer programs
that have been mentioned?
 
I guess the real question is whether I'm going to have to bite the
bullet and learn to read Japanese <g>.
