Subject: Computer Shogi

Has there been any discussion on this list about Computer Shogi -
especially about programs for the IBM PC and NEC machines?  I notice
that there is a program for the Macintosh.
I assume that it would be harder to develop a good shogi program than a
western chess program because of the typically larger number of moves
on the board with dropped pieces.
