From: Pieter Stouten EMBL BITNET> Date: 12 mar 1991 Subject: Last Kisei Match archived. Tournament announcements. Plea for Hi Shogi fans, As of today all game scores of the 57-th Kisei title match which ended in January 1991 are available from the archive. If you would like to see unorthodox (in my amateur's opinion) and flamboyant Shogi, you should download them and take a look. The match features Yashiki, who last August surprisingly took the Kisei title from Nakahara. Retrieve by sending to Listserv Technion bitnet the command: GET KISEI-1 MATCH-91 Furthermore, the tournament agenda has been updated and now contains: 6 open international tournaments and 2 closed national ones. The open ones take place in England (3), the Netherlands (1), France (1) and Belgium(1). Retrieve by sending to Listserv Technion bitnet the command: GET TOURNA ANNOUNCE And now for something completely different: the usual plea for help typing in games and the like. Some people have already offered their help, but unfortunately this did not result in ready contributions. I would ask anybody who has Shogi Game scores on an electronic medium to mail them to me or send them on floppies. Also helping to type in games that have been submitted to me on paper would be really appreciated. Cheers, Pieter Stouten. #### # # ### # European Molecular Biology Laboratory # ## ## # # # Biocomputing Programme ### # # # ### # Meyerhofstrasse 1, D-6900 Heidelberg, Germany # # # # # # stouten embl-heidelberg de #### # # ### #### fax: +49-6221-387 517
