From: Chris Sterritt ADMS-RAD UNISYS COM> Date: 16 oct 1990 Subject: Ladder standings Hello, First off let me apologize for my network node that has been, in effect, off the air since last friday. I hope that we haven't lost any email or postings. If you've sent me email, and I haven't gotten it (particularly in my game against Oluf (it's your move, right?)) please resend. Secondly, and very importantly, I may be off the network for an extended period of time. Accordingly, a new Ladder administrator would probably be the right thing to do -- would someone care to volunteer? It's a very low-paying job :-) but it more than makes up for that in not being time consuming, and lots of fun. I'll keep you posted, but please volunteer if you could. In the meantime, due to the loss of Richard (#7), due to the loss of his login (only temporary, we hope!) the ladder now stands as follows. Note that due to the rules, you may now be able to challenge people to games who you couldn't previously -- they were too far above you on the ladder. Let's get some new games going (and finish those in progress!) --chris sterritt The present ladder rankings and ongoing games: 1. Pieter Stouten STOUTEN EMBL BITNET 2.
