Crane's Shogi 0.21E

As of today, Crane's Shogi version 0.21E for the Macintosh is available from
the SHOGI-L archive in .sit .hqx format (=text, not binary). I have uploaded
it on behalf of the author. It is a freeware Shogi playing program. Full
documentation (including rules) is enclosed. The documentation should be
printed with a non-proportional font (e.g. Monaco, Courier).
I have already sent this program to everybody who had asked either for the
previous (Japanese) version or for Chris Sterritt's Shogi stack. Therefore,
the people on the following distribution list don't have to download Crane's
Shogi:

Sterritt's Shogi Stack

I also took the liberty of putting Chris Sterritt's Hypercard stack in the
archive (also in .sit .hqx format). It is a pre-pre-release, and might not
be supported in the future, but it contains valuable information for
beginning Shogi players.
 
How to get the software
-----------------------
 
In order to download these programs send the following command(s)
GET SHOGI 021E
GET SHOGI STACK
to LISTSERV <at> TECHNION <dot> BITNET.
Crane's Shogi should be available from info-mac <at> sumex-aim <dot> stanford <dot> edu
soon, too.
You need StuffIt 1.5.1 (shareware) to unpack the files and extract
the programs.
