The reason being that he changes jobs. He goes to work for a company near
Washington DC, where he will develop the "Shogi Deep Thought" on two
Connection Machines. Together they have 24000 processors, which should be
enough to make a good Shogi program.
 
I want to thank Chris (and I guess I speak for everyone) for all the work
he has done for SHOGI-L. The truth is that without him there would not be
a SHOGI-L now.
 
I hope he will be back on the net soon and contribute again to the
development of Shogi.

Since I did not get any reaction to this, I assume that this has been
accepted. So I would say to Adam: Here you go. If you need any detailed
info about how the ladder worked until now, please ask Chris (if that is
still possible) or me. Thanks for helping us out.
