From: Chris Sterritt ADMS-RAD UNISYS COM> Date: 25 may 1990 Subject: Shogi Ladder friendly competition Hello all, In response to Pieter's call earlier, and since I'd like to do it anyway, I am hereby starting a Shogi Ladder. I would appreciate anyone who would like to play sending me Email, at chris adms-rad unisys com (which is an internet address -- bitnetter's have no trouble getting to me, but if you can't otherwise get to me, feel free to post to this list). I will be posting a copy of the Chess-L Ladder rules (as soon as I get a copy). These will be modified accordingly. I will post a similar message on the Chess-L group so anyone from there can join as well. The main format will be that I will keep a list of players, which will be in random order initially. As players lower on the ladder win games, they move up, and the losers move down. There is an ascii board available (which I will post with the rules), and I hope to get copies of the games for archival and possible machine- learning purposes. thanks, chris sterritt ============================================================================ = Chris Sterritt - "Kleenex makes my nose run" - chris adms-rad unisys com = = "The secret is dirt.
