...oops! This means that:
 
1) one should never speak of a list without having tried it out himself, and
2) one should never try to extrapolate the meaning of a list name, especially
   when:
 
        a) the list name is Japanese,
        b) the one does not know Japanese, and
        3) the meaning of the list name returned from the list server results
           equal to the name itself.
 
Shame on me, then. You are right and I am wrong. However, I got one of your
mails this morning (the delay is probably due to some mail server in the chain)
and I also succeeded in subscribing the NIHONGO list, even if I didn't explore
the list database yet.
 
Anyway, there is always something good in every mistake - a better knowledge
of the Japanese (coming from the NIHONGO list frequentation) will help me
avoiding further errors in Japanese language interpretation...
