hello,
here follows another round of questions. this time concerned with shogi
in general.
 - how many people are playing shogi (a rough estimate would do)?
 - how many outside the Japans?
 - where are national organisations for shogi?
 - is there an international body for shogi?
 - how many professionals are there?
 - what is the distribution of pro on the dan-scale? i.e. how many
   9. dan, how many 8. dan etc. (rough estimate would do)?
 - when did shogi leave the Japans? where did it get to first? US of A,
   Europe or where?
