This list is great!  I learned to play shogi several years ago, but
I never played many games because it was difficult to find opponents.
I'm going to dust off my shogi books and read them over the holidays.
Then I'll be ready to challenge the ladder.
 
I would like to develop a shogi-playing program for the Amiga.  I have
written part of the user interface, and I drew some 32x32 pixel bitmaps
for the shogi pieces (top kanji only).  If anybody would like a copy
of the bitmaps, I can send them to you in either MacPaint or IFF ILBM
(Amiga) format.  They make cute little icons for windowing interfaces.
