Only the docs will be of no use. Since both versions are basically self-explanatory, you can do without docs. Or you can use the docs that came with version 0.21E. Since 0.3A2 is quite a bit stronger, I would suggest to everybody to at least try it out. Since the announcement of Shogi 0.3A2 in the archives I have found a bug. If you want to move a piece, you might have problems when using a Mac II series machine. This shows in two forms. The most serious one is that the application unexpectedly quits (this is no crash !). The least serious one is that clicking a piece selects the window from the top left to the cursor (mouse) position and puts some background fill pattern there, thus obscuring that part of the window. To me it seems that there is a conflict between Crane's Shogi and the 32-bit colour quickdraw routines of the newer machines. If there is in expert in the audience, please send your hints to Mr. Masamichi Honda ddbj nig ac jp>, who can forward them to the author. Mr. Honda, I hope you will forward this bug report to Mr. Tsuruzono too.
