As Chris Sterritt <chris <at> adms-rad <dot> unisys <dot> com> already mentioned in reply to this
request, I have photocopied all pieces, blown them up, scanned the images, and
retouched them. All on a Macintosh with Canvas. I can easily provide the images
in Canvas or MacPaint (bitmap) format. I may also be able to provide EPSF, GIF,
PICT, RIFF, RLE, Scan Image and TIFF format pictures. I guess that EPSF
(Embedded PostScript Format ??) is closest to what Mark Owen wants. It is
basically a plain PostScript text (non-binary) format.
 
Everybody who is interested in the Shogi piece images, can obtain them from me.
