  • Arend van Oosten (Netherlands) is the European Shogi Champion 2006.  2nd became Frank Roevekamp (Germany) and 3rd Jochen Drechsler (Germany).
    The WOSC 2006 was won by Yuji Kikuta (Japan) with a perfect score of 9 points out of 9 games.
